It's time for Q1 2021 financial year board meeting. Instead of taking turn to present slides, I decided the create this video.
This video is not only for presenting to the board about our achievements, but a gift to my team to appreciate their great efforts in the last quarter. When I showed it to my team members, they were speechless after the video ended. Within an hour, each of them sent me a separate note to thank me for crediting them and spending my time to create this video.
As a manager, it is important to appreciate your team members and give them credits for their achievements. You are no longer an individual contributor. Their success is your success. I am so lucky that my supervisor has been showing his appreciation to my effort too. This is the company culture to recruit and retain talents.
The company culture is important to the destiny of the company and the senior management has the responsibilities to shape the company culture with integrity and high moral standard, otherwise, talents will leave one day and the company reputation will be destroyed.
I hope to see my team to continue to grow and achieve higher in the coming quarters.
